Papa John's named a top franchise for minorities

Papa Johns Intl Inc. has been named one of the top 50 franchises for minorities.

This assessment was done by the National Minority Franchising Initiative.

NMFI, works with connecting the franchise community to minorities. They work on factors such as levels of initial training, support, financial stability, and franchisee satisfaction.

The organization focuses on current minority franchisee statistics within the franchise. Additionally, the organization looks at minorities in executive corporate positions.

Papa Johns recently launched their Enterprise Zone Program, which allows franchisees to avoid paying franchise fees upfront. This is made for restaurants opening in urban markets such as Buffalo, Albanym, N.Y., Boston, Chicago, and Detroit.

The franchisees commit to building five or more restaurants in exchange for paying a reduced royalty until 2010. Those who choose to build less then five restaurants pay no royalty until 08.
